Quiet Rings of Time — One Circle, Then Another | 1 Hour Deep Sleep Music | Singing Bowl & Drone 207Hz
When sleepless nights run together. A mallet circles the rim of a bowl, once, then again. It may feel like circling the same place, yet inside, a quiet ring is added.
Quiet Rings of Time
Another night without sleep, after several just like it. The same thoughts go round again. The body stays put; only the mind keeps circling.
A mallet around the rim
In this track the bowl is barely struck. A mallet travels slowly around the rim. Once, then again. Ring settles on ring, and the sound thickens without ever breaking. It was recorded by a river, with a low drone underneath. 207Hz is the note this bowl rings at on its own.
Growth rings
A tree adds one ring each year. From outside it looks like the same tree as yesterday. Inside, one more layer has quietly formed. Nights that seem to go in circles are like that too. It may feel like the same place, yet every night gone by fills the grain.
On a sleepless night, instead of trying hard to fall asleep, circle with the sound. The shoulders drop first. Then the breath. Then the eyelids.
It may feel like circling the same place, yet inside, a quiet ring is added.
One circle, then another. Tonight becomes one more layer.
